Puzzles up to 9000 pieces: the ultimate challenge

The Puzzles up to 9000 Pieces collection is the top of our range and is made for true puzzle lovers. We're talking about projects that take months, with hugely complex images and a finished result that fills an entire wall. This isn't a puzzle to build over a weekend; it's an experience of patience, method and discovery that many puzzlers describe as the most rewarding of all.

The puzzle in this collection

The The Garden of Earthly Delights Puzzle, Educa, 9000 pieces reproduces Hieronymus Bosch's triptych, one of the most fascinating works in art history. Each panel is full of figures, creatures and scenes that only reveal themselves up close, making the build a true journey through the painting. Once completed, it measures about 190 x 91 cm and becomes a one-of-a-kind decorative piece. It's also one of the most popular choices among our art puzzles.

Tips for building a 9000 piece puzzle

Set aside a large table or a puzzle mat, sort the pieces by panel and by color area, and work section by section. Take breaks: a puzzle this size is a ritual, not a race. If you haven't built large formats yet, try our 2000 piece puzzles or 1500 piece puzzles first. They're all part of our selection of puzzles for adults.

What makes this work so special as a puzzle

The Garden of Earthly Delights is divided into three very different panels: Paradise, on the left, with light, serene tones; the central panel, full of figures, giant fruits and creatures; and Hell, on the right, dark and unsettling. Building each panel is almost like building three separate puzzles, which is why many enthusiasts consider it one of the most memorable art puzzles ever made.
